Natural Occurence Myth

A myth is a story that is orally passed down from generation to generation. They explain things about the past that are unclear to some people. A natural occurrence is something that happens naturally. Tornadoes, hurricanes, and volcanoes are some natural occurrences. A tsunami happens when an earthquake in the ocean causes a ripple on the surface of the ocean. The ripple slowly moves inland. It gains speed and size. By the time it reaches the land, the ripple has become a giant wave known as a tsunami. Normally, the wave is about 50 feet tall. Sometimes it is smaller or larger. The largest recorded tsunami was 1720 feet tall. It hit Lituya Bay, Alaska on July 9, 1958. Nobody knows the actual way a tsunami is formed. It all started when a bird made the sea god, Moonstury, mad. Moonstury decided to send a giant wave unto the bird. The wave hit the land and killed the bird. The land god, Sunstury, did not like Moonstury on his part of the earth. Thus a huge battle took place between the sea's greatest creature and lands greatest creature. Leviathan versus Behemoth. Both monsters killed each other. There was a great feast in Israel that day. The wave is still imprinted on the Mexico coast. Most people think the imprint was where the meteor hit that killed all the dinosaurs. That is not true. When a tsunami hits somewhere, it is just Moonstury telling Sunstury to stop drying up bodies of water.
