Holidays are random days throughout the year when we celebrate important things that happened in our country's history. A holiday you probably do not know about is "Durin's Day". It is a day where we eat food, play games, and watch the Lord of the Rings trilogy. It is on December 21. Also known as the winter solstice. It is on this day because in the Hobbit book, the dwarves celebrate this day because it is the start of their new year. I really like the Lord of the Rings books, and I think we should celebrate this holiday as a memoir of J.R.R. Tolkien. Durin's Day would be a perfect holiday to celebrate.
